Ibiza Rocks is back this summer

True to its commitment to bring some of the most cutting-edge bands of the moment of the indie scene, Ibiza Rocks announces the first confirmations of the festival with names like The Kooks, Klaxons, The Enemy, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Dizzee Rascal and Pendulum for this event Weekly will happen on Tuesdays between June 16 and September 8 at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel.

The start of a summer concert will begin in June with surprise guests that will be unveiled as you near the date.

Medium, we found the visit of The Kooks, the band that performed at Ibiza Rocks in 2005 when some were absolute strangers. A year after selling over a million copies of her debut album in the UK and today, as one of the best British bands of the moment, returning to Ibiza Rocks. It will be the June 30th.

Hed Kandi in "Eden" on Saturday night

One of the surprises of the season is the arrival of Ibiza Hed Kandi to the "Eden Ibiza" after his departure from "The Divine" which was the last season.

On Saturday June 13 is scheduled to host the opening and closure was carried out, but things change, the next September 26.

Ibiza's candidacy over the support of four other candidates: Mallorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Formentera. The Councilor for Tourism, Pepa Marí, collected the award at an event organized in Madrid and invite readers to travel to Ibiza next summer.

Count Down To Space Do START getting excited, because it's coming.

Space Ibiza has just started to announce the line-up for their 2009 opening party, which traditionally throws open the doors on another party season on the White Isle.

As usual, it's happening on Sunday, May 31 and, as the opening party has special dispensation from the licensing laws, it will kick off at noon before running for a marathon 18 hours.

Confirmed so far are Carl Cox, Sasha, Digweed, 2 Many DJs, Deadmau5, Steve Lawler and Tom Novy.

Tickets are on sale for 55 euros.

AFTER a lot of speculation, the rumour mill has been proved correct and it's now confirmed that Daft Punk are set to compose the soundtrack to the forthcoming TR2N movie.

Tentatively scheduled for release in 2011, the film will be an update of the 1982 science fiction classic Tron and will see Daft Punk's first foray into the studio since 2005's Human After All album.

The French duo are already said to have made a recording for the project in Los Angeles.

Pacha bleibt in Ibiza-Stadt Es war eines der wildesten Gerüchte, das zu Beginn des Jahres in der Partyszene auf Ibiza aufkam und sich bis zuletzt hartnäckig hielt. Das Pacha wird seinen ursprünglichen Standort in Ibiza-Stadt aufgeben und künftig in Sant Antoni seine stimmungsvollen Pforten öffnen. Grundlage dieses Gerüchts war die Tatsache, dass das Pacha bzw. dessen Betreiber das Gebäude gekauft hatten, in dem sich ehemals das Casino von Sant Antoni befunden hatte.

Durch die zentrale Lage des Casinos an einem Kreisverkehr im Stadtzentrum von Sant Antoni schienen derartige Zukunftspläne für das Pacha zumindest im Bereich des Möglichen zu sein.

Die Betreiber des Pachas gaben konnten in der Zwischenzeit jedoch Entwarnung geben und wiesen mehrfach daraufhin, dass das traditionsreiche Pacha an seinem Standort in Ibiza-Stadt verbleiben wird. Das Pacha wurde im Jahr 1973 im Stadtviertel Ibiza Nova eröffnet und liegt nur wenige hundert Meter von der Marina Botafoch entfernt. Weitere Clubs in der Nähe sind El Divino oder Heaven. Das Pacha auf Ibiza ist der angesagteste Club auf der Insel und die Mutter aller Pacha-Diskotheken weltweit, auch wenn das Pacha in Barcelona noch einige Jahre älter ist.

Im ehemaligen Casino in Sant Antoni sollte ein zweites Pacha auf Ibiza eröffnet werden, das speziell auf die jüngere Zielgruppe zugeschnitten werden sollte. Da die Behörden die Genehmigung für den Betrieb einer Diskothek in dem Gebäude verweigerten, nahm der Pacha-Konzern inzwischen wieder Abstand von der Immobilie. Was nun mit dem Gebäude in Sant Antoni geschehen bzw. welcher Nutzung es zugeführt werden soll, ist derzeit noch unklar.

Ibiza International Music Summit First Lineup Revealed - May 27-29 The first line-up of artists and industry panellists for the second International Music Summit was today announced. Returning to the dance capital of the world, Ibiza, the essential high-profile music gathering takes place May 27-29 at the island's luxurious new five-star Gran Hotel. After the success of 2008's inaugural event, IMS has swiftly eclipsed other music conferences to establish itself as the single most important destination for the global dance industry, artists and executives, to do business.

The keynote interview will be with pioneering techno artist Richie Hawtin, who will take part in an hour long discussion with IMS content curator Ben Turner.

Hawtin, a global ambassador for underground music, has been at the top of his game for over 15 years, with his Berlin based M-nus record label is at the forefront of the futuristic underground sound, and he remains one of the most-in demand DJs in the world and hugely revered by both his peers and club goers alike.

Hawtin states: "I heard great reports about the first IMS, and as this is a critical time for the industry and the world at large, this intimate gathering feels more important now than ever before. I am excited to share my experiences and vision for the future with the leaders of the genre."
